SAN DIEGO'S MOST POPULAR ONGOING WEEKLY SALSA CLASS ...

Welcome to the largest ongoing weekly salsa class in San Diego, and quite possibly L.A. and S.F. too! (It's what they keep telling us.) It's been happening since 1999 and it just keeps getting better. A big reason for that is because former "Jerome Robbins' Broadway" and Alvin Ailey dancers, Tony & Maria Caligagan, are teaching it. Come see why the most charming dance couple in the San Diego dance scene is also the most popular. Actually, it makes perfect sense. Feel free to bring a friend or a partner to this well-known user-friendly class.

Take a look ...

8:00 - 9:00  BASICS CLASS helps you to get that salsa rhythm in your body. User-friendly, safe for beginners and max fun for better dancers too. A great way to warm up for the classes to follow. If you're new to salsa, you want to get there right for the beginning of class. It's very casual/relaxed, and the teaching starts with learning to hear the count in the music (very important!).

9:00 - 10:00  INTERMEDIATE CLASS expands on the Basics concept, but the degree of difficulty also goes up. Stay with it, if you can, and your skill level will rise accordingly. You'll also learn different combinations and spins and turns to take with you out to the dance floors of the world. (No extra charge to take this class if you're already in the first class!)

10:00 - 11:00  ADVANCED CHOREOGRAPHY PERFORMANCE CLASS is one of the best advanced salsa classes in town, taught by two pros who bring their Broadway experience to this class. Please note that this class has a $10 separate admission paid at the beginning of the 10:00 class. Come only if you've been taking Intermediate Salsa and you are ready to push that salsa envelope to the next level. Two of the best on the West Coast will help you to do that! And you'll have the opportunity to perform in public when you're ready.

WHERE?... Performing Arts Workshop, 1105 Second St., Encinitas (2nd & J Sts.), right behind the Hwy 101 restaurant "When In Rome."

COST?... $12 entitles you to take both Basics AND Intermediate classes. It's a great deal. It's more about the love.

Partners not necessary, though welcome of course. Most folks come solo and the ratio is often surprisingly even! Parking, as always, is free.

JUST GET YOURSELF THERE -- THE ENDORPHINS WILL TAKE OVER AFTER THAT.

LIFE'S TOO SHORT NOT TO DANCE SALSA!
