Over the past seven years Ms. Rincon has been rediscovering her latina roots, traveling throughout Mexico, and especially to San Miguel de Allende, where she has been building a contemporary dance community at the Bellas Artes Cultural Art Center there. She has received numerous UCSD Research in the Arts grants to develop her artistic work and present her company in San Miguel, in addition to creating her film documentaries “Project Contemporary Dance San Miguel de Allende,” and “The Walls Have Memories,” which premiered in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico and San Diego. The Myth Project I toured to San Miguel de Allende in November of 2006 and was performed in a huge performing arts circus tent (La Carpa) there.
